FAVORITE PAST TIMES, in addition to her interest in real estate, the real estate/intuition connection, and how to help others become more successful in every area of their lives, include landscaping. It's one of her passions! You'll frequently find Holleay in her backyard, relaxing on her patio. She enjoys having breakfast outside and listening to the birds sing.
Container gardening is high on her list of favorite hobbies. Holleay has many different planters and hanging baskets in her backyard. It takes a little effort to maintain, but she's the first to say that the results are well worth it.
An interest in exploring different plant material and color combinations keeps the containers fresh and varied. Holleay enjoys experimenting with the use of color, and feels she's found some extraordinary combinations worth repeating…she's especially fond of the peach/pink geranium and the dark bluish/purple wave petunia.
Last year the remodeling bug bit Holleay, and it bit hard. She says that she came to understand what it is that drives the construction industry: it's the chance to create something beautiful, something lasting that can be enjoyed for years to come. If you click on the Tiki Time page, you'll see pictures of her first remodeling job. Holleay enjoyed the project and finds that time spent there rejuvenates her. She hopes you enjoy the pictures!
Once the Tiki house was finished, then she remodeled her commercial office building. (I meant it when I mentioned that the remodeling bug bit her hard!) Now she has a new building and is pleased with the results. Again, Holleay found that the project seemed to have a creative life of its own. The framers gave her lots of input regarding the foyer, and it turned out beautifully! She credits them for the lovely tray ceiling, the four columns and the open and spacious feeling you get when you enter. It's perfect!
The stone mason created the front steps. He's a true artisan. From the selection of the material to the final stone being set in place, it seemed the job just flowed on its own. Holleay often remarks as she tells others this story that the more she got out of the way, the more the Universe came in and astonished her!
Golf is next for Holleay! She looks forward to being outdoors and admiring the beautiful scenery. She's very excited about learning this game. She may even ask you for some pointers along the way!
Holleay has an 8 year old standard poodle named Connor. He provides much comic relief and brings her joy every day. He's a great dog and really good company. He enjoys riding in the car, and especially likes being on the upper deck where he can keep an eye on the back yard (and the neighbor's cat by the fish pond!) He likes to nap by the sliding door in the late afternoons…he's just like a member of the family.
Her parents are two of the guiding forces in her life. Through their instruction and by their example, they have instilled in her the values that she holds dear today. Holleay says, "My parents have taught me the importance of helping others whenever possible, and of appreciating all that I have. Any good that I do, any benefit that I provide to others, is because of their efforts. I will always be in their debt. Thanks, Mom and Dad.
